Audio Visual Entrainment
AVE uses visual and auditory stimulation to guide your brain into various brainwave states (in the frequency range of 1-40 hertz or cycles per second). In this technique pulsing lights deliver stimulation to the eyes through special eyesets (goggles) and pulsing tones deliver stimulation to the ears through headsets. When the frequency stimulation occurs, your brain works to get in sync with those frequencies by speeding up or slowing down. As this happens your brain is strengthening those desired neural pathways.
