Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month

Neurofeedback has been shown to improve memory in clients. When it comes to preventative measures against Alzheimer’s or dementia, neurofeedback is particularly beneficial. That being said, neurofeedback won’t reverse the degenerative effects of the disease, but it will help slow the speed of degeneration. At Bhakti Brain Health Clinic, we have used neurofeedback to help many clients experience long-lasting memory improvement and even lessen the cognitive decline of dementia.

One of the primary reasons to use neurofeedback for memory is that it is a drug-free intervention to help improve memory. That way you and your loved ones don’t need to worry about all the negative possible side-effects of using medication. Another reason neurofeedback is superior to medication for memory loss is that medication only temporarily addresses symptoms. Meanwhile, neurofeedback addresses the root of the issue. At Bhakti, we will perform a qEEG brain mapping to pinpoint the areas of the brain that are leading to memory loss. We will then create a personalized treatment plan for that client and train the underperforming areas in the brain.

At Bhakti, we are joining the pledge to spread awareness of Alzheimer’s and dementia as well as possible treatments such as neurofeedback. More than 55 million people are living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia so we encourage anyone interested to also spread awareness or donate to the Alzheimer’s Association. Spreading awareness of Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month also propels research forward to hopefully one day find a cure for this terrible disease.
